Dr. Kirk Johnson
Dr. Kirk Johnson graduated from Spanish Fork High School, in Spanish Fork, Utah in 1991. After completing High School, Dr. Johnson pursued a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University. From there, he went on to graduate from Dental School from the University of Kentucky in 2002.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Johnson pursued a General Practice Residency at VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he received extensive training in General Dentistry as well Oral Surgery. Dr. Johnson is certified to administer IV Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Johnson resides in Draper, Utah. He speaks fluent Spanish. He enjoys spending time in his hometown of Salem, in the outdoors riding and caring for his horses, playing basketball, baseball and snowboarding.
Dr. Joe Checcio
Dr. Joseph M. Checchio was born on May 6, 1949 in New Jersey. After completing High School, he pursued a Bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in 1971 with B.A. in Biology. From there he went on to Dental School at the well renowned Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and graduated in 1975.
After graduating from Georgetown Dental School, Dr. Checchio moved across the nation to San Francisco, California, where he completed a one year General Practice Residency.
Upon completing his residency, for two years Dr. Checcio became an Instructor of Operative Dentistry for the USPHS Hospital of Dental Residency San Francisco and the University of California-San Francisco from 1975 to 1978.
1978 brought a new challenge into the life of Dr. Checcio as he and three partners established Fremont Dental Group, where he has successfully practiced dentistry for the last twenty five years.
In 1997, Dr. Checcio sold Fremont Dental Group. He continued to commute to Fremont, California to see his patients until Genesis Dental convinced Dr. Checcio to become part of its dental family in the Tooele Practice. Dr. Checcio works every Wednesday and Thursday in Tooele.
Dr. Checcio and his wife of thirty one years reside in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have six children. Dr. Checchio volunteers at Salt Lake Donated Dental Service. When he is not working, he enjoys being in the outdoors hunting and fishing.
