Dr. Steven R. Pope
|
Dr. Steven Pope graduated from Skyline High School in 1963. From there, he pursed a Bachelors degree at the University of Utah where he graduated Cum Laude in 1969. Then it was on to dental school at the University of Washington, where he graduated in top 10% of his class in 1973 with honors in all four years. After a time in the United States Navy, Dr. Pope opened his first dental practice in Salt Lake City in 1975. In 1984 Dr. Pope, took over the practice of a dentist in Kearns, working in very cramped quarters until his office on 1705 West 5400 South was built. He owned this practice until 1999 when he sold his dental practice to Genesis Dental so that he could focus on dentistry rather than all of the aspects and stresses of owning a business.
Dr. Pope is currently treating third and fourth generations of families who were his original patients back when he first opened his practice. His is a full service dentist including orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and periodontics. He treats children through adults.
Dr. Pope has attended 100’s of hours of continuing education courses in all aspects of dentistry to ensure that the dental practice maintained on the cutting edge of dentistry.
He is a member of the Utah Dental Association (UDA), American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and American Dental Academy (ADA).
He resides with his wife Shelley in Draper. He enjoys spending time with his 6 children and 5 grandchildren. For relaxation he enjoys golf and skiing and a yearly vacation on Lake Powell with as many of his family as he can gather.
